The activities, which will be held from December 9 to 11, are UN Tourism’s first global event on rural tourism.
The event is expected to attract approximately 300 delegates from national and local management agencies of the United Nations and Vietnam tourism member states, international organizations, the tourism community and private sector.
The conference will discuss and orient policies for sustainable rural tourism development, ensuring equitable distribution of tourism benefits, creating jobs and protecting natural and cultural resources.
At the same time, discuss social inclusion, empowering local communities and vulnerable groups, including women, youth and indigenous people.
